About AFPI Primary Healthcare Leadership Fellowship
The Primary Care Leadership Fellowship is a post-graduate training program designed to impart post-graduate level capacity strengthening for medical officers practicing in underserved communities across India. We hope to help primary care physicians to realize their potential as community leaders and in providing patient-centered and evidence-based comprehensive primary care to their communities.
Fellowship Program Impact
Over 3 cohorts – 50 healthcare workers impacted through work ethic and renewed leadership. Communities covering population size of 75,000 benefitted indirectly.

Core Team
This was achieved through a system that integrated community health profiles to improve healthcare planning and bring home-based primary care to the communities as well as empower local bodies and existing partnerships at the Panchayat level.

Arogya Arali aimed to promote excellence in Community Oriented Primary Care through enhanced convergence of Gram Panchayats (GPs) and Primary Health Centers (PHCs). All PHCs were actively involved in the health of the community.
